About this list
Generative-AI projects here are mostly retrieval and drafting systems with a person in the loop, and the generative record on several of these sites is shorter than the classical one. Merantix Momentum's rolled-out generative systems are Cornelsen's Material Designer, launched 2024 and in daily use by teachers, and Hamburg's LLMoin assistant; its Federal Chancellery work ended as a proof of concept handed over for integration. Datatonic's AstraZeneca RAG pipeline ingested 20,000-plus documents and its Alpian banking agent runs customer-facing under FINMA supervision, each quantified as engineering rather than outcome. Kortical's chatbot for The Edit LDN reports 80% of queries handled automatically and an 88% cut in support costs. Babel's WiZink platform reviews every customer interaction in Spain and Portugal, cutting a campaign review from days to hours. Instituto de Ingeniería del Conocimiento's strongest generative figures name no client, and Mercury Labs' IfATE tools keep judgment with the reviewer but publish no metric.
The sorting question for a generative-AI project is how the output was evaluated before go-live and who checks it after. Merantix Momentum's caralegal contract reviewer is quoted at 60-plus percent agreement with experienced lawyers, the figure to ask for, along with the evaluation set and review queue. Ask what the project left behind for re-evaluation when the model or documents change; where the work is a proof of concept, ask who integrated it and whether it is in use. Prefer figures with a named client attached and treat an anonymous percentage as a claim to verify.

Expert Insight
Why project-based fit matters for Generative AI
A fixed scope protects both sides only when the acceptance criteria are written: ask for them before the rate, because a project without them becomes a retainer nobody agreed to.
The handover decides whether the project was an asset or a dependency: pipelines, evaluation sets and retraining procedures belong in the deliverables list.
The pilot-to-production gap is the main risk of project work in AI: the case studies here that describe operations and measured results are the ones that show an agency has crossed it.

Every agency here documents project-based work on its own site or in a published case study, describing the engagement structure rather than a service-list claim. We never infer the model from portfolio tone, so this list only contains agencies that operate project-based engagements deliberately.
