Why these pairs and not others
Pairs come from the top three by editorial score within a city, a service, or an industry — and only where that pool holds at least 4reviewed agencies. Below that, “the top three” is just everyone, and pairing two firms that were never in competition would imply a shortlist we never made.
Both sides must carry a published editorial assessment. A single agency without one removes every pair it would have appeared in, which is why some well-known names on the register have no comparison yet.
Placement here is never sold. Inclusion, score, and rank are editorial, and a paid listing buys no comparison, no pairing, and no position within one. The full criteria are on the methodology page.
