About this list
Healthcare here divides at the patient-data line, and the documented work sits on both sides of it. Pexon Consulting's speech documentation at Klinikum Landsberg am Lech has been live since March 2025: medical terms are recognized and written straight into the hospital information system, audio is processed and pseudonymized inside the hospital, more than 1,300 consultations had been transcribed and documentation effort was cut by more than 90 percent. Hybrid Heroes built DIRECT, an e-mental-health platform with exercises and questionnaires, for Freie Universität Berlin with the Swiss Red Cross, and punktum digital put early disease detection inside DiaperID's infant health app; neither write-up publishes an outcome. Limebit runs machine-learning models in production for statutory health insurers on the eRezept program, payer data rather than a care setting. Other work operates around care rather than inside it. OstraconAI's Rex reference-search assistant has been used by Nordic Healthcare Group's sales team through Teams since August 2025, and its Gosta Labs outreach retainer reached oncologists for 198 replies and 62 opportunities. Inbold has been Ambu's single production partner for instructions-for-use since 2016, 161 instruction documents across 27 languages, documentation work with no AI described. Bismart integrated data from 46 Sanitas Mayores centers into Azure SQL with Power BI reporting above it. G+D Netcetera's RiSIC classifies health-insurance claims for fraud and waste, in an expertise article with no named sponsor. wukonig.com carries the healthcare tag without a healthcare engagement in its published work.
Ask first whether the retainer touches patient data or commercial data, because the operating obligations differ. A clinical system needs to say where audio and records are processed and who holds the pseudonymization key; Pexon's case answers that in print. A commercial or documentation retainer needs measured usage figures, which the curator notes OstraconAI's healthcare cases do not yet publish.

Expert Insight
Why Healthcare experience matters
Regulatory boundary awareness—The line between a documentation aid and a medical device under MDR decides your entire compliance burden. Specialists scope products to stay on the intended side of that line deliberately; generalists cross it by accident and find out during legal review
Clinical-data reality—Real clinical text is abbreviations, negations, copy-paste artifacts, and multiple languages in one record. Models that score well on public benchmarks routinely fall apart on it. Specialists validate on your data before promising numbers
Clinician adoption—Doctors have minutes per patient and no patience for tools that add clicks. Specialists design for the workflow that exists—EHR integration, review-and-sign patterns, keyboard-speed corrections—because a technically correct tool nobody opens delivers nothing
GDPR discipline for health data—Health data is special-category data with a higher lawful-basis bar, and 'send it to a third-country API' is a decision, not a default. Specialists bring data-processing agreements, EU hosting options, and de-identification pipelines as standard equipment
